Scotty's First Day In America Short Story
Scotty and his family made plans to go to America for two months. When they arrived in America Scotty was shocked about how much different America was from Britain. He had various questions running through his head like do they really shower their vegetables? Are there really gay rights for the people? Do they actually have ghettos here? The first place he went was the gas station. When he got to the store he went in to buy some food. He was astonished at all the different types of candy like; sour patch kids, Hersey bars, and Milky ways. All of a sudden the doors burst open. A man with a deep voice in a black mask came through the doors. The man started shooting at the air aimlessly. Scotty was fascinated that already on his first day in America

    He herd 1...2...3… gunshots. Cameron ran to his door and locked it. He was underneath his bed covered in blankets hiding. Footstep outside of his room made him cry. And that day when I gone to the workshop I was walking on street, then I saw a tuck passing by at high-velocity with flat tires. In the book they explore the dangers of being a child raised in a housing project, the consequences of negative behavior, and even murder. A crucial point in the book takes place when a brutal crime erupted from an abandoned apartment in the projects that consumed the life of a little boy. Two teenagers, Johnny and Tyrone, dropped Eric Morse fourteen floors to his death over an altercation in which Eric refused to steal them candy. LeAlan and Lloyd knew both the victim and the assailants, and thus began to investigate the crime and it's multiple causes.
