Contact a security manager and conduct the interview listed in Part I (space has been provided for extra questions, should you ask any). Once the interview has been completed, answer the questions in Part II.

Part I: Interview Questionnaire 1. Can you briefly describe your current position, its duties, and responsibilities?
Yes. My name is Sgt. Jean P. Lopez of the United States Army. In the 3rd Division regiment, I secure the outer perimeter of one of the areas in Iraq. Sorry can’t tell you exactly where. I have 20 grunts under me. We check house, abandoned buildings, cars, and fields for bombs, guns and people that are terrorist that threaten us and the United States. 2. What is your hiring procedure like for personnel?
Getting into the army for someplace got in easy but for me it took over 1 year of taking an equivalent test, math, and reading have at least a GED. I failed the test twice but once I passed it I went straight to boot camp and start training. 3. Is there any type of pre-employment screening?
Yes. There is a physical and physiological test you have to pass before entering the military. With the physical test they make sure you are fit for the training you are about to endure in boot camp. You have to be able to have a health body with no diseases. Then we have to go through a physiological test to make sure that the army was not letting in the crazy people…lol as I would say. But it was to ensure that we would be able to be in our right mind in case of battle and make sure that we would be capable to endure war. There is also a drug test you have to be able to pass before you and be in the military. 4. What qualifications do you require of applicants?

    Despite the fact that there were previous war military drafts in the United States, the first peace draft was sanctioned by Congress in 1940.
