In diabetes there is often sedentary lifestyle, unhealthy eating, and there has been over consumption of alcohol. There have been two family members of mine that have had Type 2 diabetes (one of my aunts and my grandfather). My genetic risk is high because of my disposition, and the environmental risk is high because of my choices of what I eat, and how I become active in everyday life. Although there are genetic and environmental factors of diabetes (Yochim & Woodhead, 2017), it can be changed and easily prevented. It requires her to be on nitroglycerine medication to stop the wheezing. Things that my grandmother made, that were a cultural influence, were things that she learned how to cook while she was in the Czech Republic and made for my grandfather. These foods are very fattening and shouldn’t be eaten so often. Heart problems have been found to be caused by environmental factors (sedentary lifestyle and poor life choices) and hereditary factors (Yochim & Woodhead, 2017). It is my choice to be more active since I have this disposition and change my eating style because if I don’t I will be at risk of having heart
