Self-Evaluation:
Describe in detail how YOU contributed to the team/ team goals and overall outcome:
The first thing that I did to help out the team was do the 2-D model for the elevator pitch. I got that done first thing Monday so my other teammate can continue and start on the 3-D model, so she can have an idea as to what the outcome layout of the inflatable will be. Next, I helped Jessica calculate the budget and measurements of the area where our inflatable will be for final critique day and how much plastic we will need to buy for the project. I listened thoughtfully and was being enthusiastic in the support of my team’s ideas if warranted. I took the initiative to share my own ideas and do so respectfully.

She helped make sure that everyone was able to meet and exceed goals and objectives of the project. She created meeting times and work days so everyone can make it and do their part of the project. Sara and I helped with feedback and talked with to see what days were good for everyone in the group. We worked together as a team and we identified the strengths and weaknesses of each team member and inspired them to do their best work in an effective manner. Lexi was indeed our weakest of the group, consider we had to tell her what to do, rather than taking the initiative to do it. Same goes with Savannah, but she was always negative about ideas and concerns of the project. Cassandra went with the flow about everything and was in the same boat as Jessica, Sara, and I …show more content…

Was the team positive and flexible throughout the process?
Our attitude was always positive during the progress of the inflatatopia. We were never quiet on the workdays, because we all communicated and talked to each other about school, jobs, classes, etc., to keep us not as strangers but as a team, a family. We had a blast on the day of the event! Lot of students came to our inflatable and loved it! We all had positive attitudes and smiles all day to visitors that wanted to take a journey into our utopia.

Specific Individual Evaluation:
List each team member by name and briefly describe and evaluate their role in the group. This is your opportunity to praise and highlight strengths as well as make us aware of concerns and conflicts.
Jessica was the leader of the group. She got things done when they needed to be done. Sara and I were basically the betas of the group. If Jessica wasn’t there, Sara and I worked together to help and make progress on the utopia. Cassandra was the quiet, easy-going team member that would be help out when needed if a task needs an extra hand to

My team’s objectives were to raise the awareness of our charity, raise over £1000 and raise as much money as possible and to run successful events. We were given £100 to start our events and had to budget what we spent. We had to decide our individual roles before we started planning any of the events so we all knew what we had to do but this was a bit of a struggle as it was hard to define, in the early stages, who had what roles. However, our team was effective because we all helped each other with different tasks and then all began to found out our strengths and our weaknesses. We all listened to each other and try to make everyone in the team feel welcome and not make them feel left out. For example, When Sandie joined our group it was a while after the team was formed so she may have felt a bit left out but we all tried to make her feel welcome and she took on the role of being in charge of all the health and safety and risk assessments for the event.…

The original stage of team building is the forming stage. In this stage our group was not exactly sure what this project would entail and what work was ahead of us. We were all polite and on our best behavior making contact with the rest of the group. There was a positive and high expectation that we would be successful and develop an outstanding service learning project. In this stage our roles were not clearly defined. This lead to us mostly working independently and gaining an understanding for the project and what to expect for ourselves.…

Members often set goals for not only themselves but as whole. They hold each other accountable for actions and push each other to become better, they depend on one another. Everyone has a role on her team and they work well together. They might face challenges but they know they can work together to overcome them. The Ithaca Women’s indoor track and field team has positive group dynamics. The one area of intervention I would choose be to try and get the team to mix and become more familiar with people of other events. Have outings or different forms of team bonding of the entire team. Maybe even break the team up into groups not based on their event have them complete a task and get to know one…

Because the majority of the team members have a cautious behavioral style, it is to my advantage to have these individuals break down each assignment and project from the beginning to the end. They are also task-oriented which will bode well for each project. Their strengths are attention to detail and follow through. Lauren has the dominance behavioral style and likes to be in charge that will help to keep the group on track. Those with the cautious behavioral style tend to work at a slow pace and are extremely over analytical. As the leader of the team, my plan is to encourage my team members and recognize them for their achievements. Laura, who is supportive, will provide the encouragement the team needs to complete each task. She will also be strong on follow through and following up with each team member to ensure they are on track to complete each assignment. She is the most people-oriented of the group, so I will rely on her to maintain stability and balance in the group. Each team member will lead a project or assignment each week because each person will share some of the four behavioral styles depending on the nature of the assignments. Each team member will explore the behavioral styles of her fellow team members to understand each person fully on how they think, act, and interact with one another. This will enable each person to…

Natasha did do this, but I think some members of the group lacked a little urgency when doing their work. Natasha, Adam and I worked very hard in trying to put together a detailed and satisfactory presentation for our product, having to do some other peoples work to make sure it was done. Michael, worked well but didn’t really turn up in class which made it difficult for us to know what exactly work he had done. Becky and Joe didn’t really make much contribution to the group, Becky put together some of the advertising and did a sufficient amount, but Joe did nothing to contribute to the presentation. Overall, the main outcome of how the team thought I contributed was good. They said that I worked well to bring together everyone’s information to create the business plan and that I helped them with anything they were struggling with. Myself, I thought that I could have worked a little harder on the business plan and make sure that it was in complete detail, but it was hard when I didn’t quite know what everyone had…

The leadership of the group was emergent as everyone did not want to be the leader. Dustan displays these examples in the Telling selling participating and delegating style. For instance he always provides information during group chats. During these chats he sells why he thinks it should be that way. He was there to participate in the ball toss. He always delegates to Evan to write whenever we have need of a writer. Marie displays these examples in the telling selling participating and delegating style. For instance she always tells her opinion to every situation. She sells her ideas to others and gets them to act on her thoughts. She is always participating such as helping to type the paper. The camp was also nonprofit, with its donations going towards helping the community build and expand its facilities. Thus, I had to make sure to budget the money invested into the camp properly while also making sure that the camp was able to be successfully engaging on a low-budget. I was able to manage the budget and financial logistics by staying organized and prioritizing deadlines for each step of the process. I also reached out to my supervising senior directors for advice and support. In regards to the actual running of the camp itself, I had to select a group of counselors that would work well together and engage the campers. I approached the process of selecting the team by balancing personalities and assigning counselors to positions which brought out their strengths. In the process of training the counselors, I learned how and when it is necessary to delegate tasks as I was one person and they would be the ones more directly leading the campers in turn. Finally, I had to come up with an agenda which was would be practical and safe for the campers while also being fun and memorable. By getting insights into other perspectives and exploring my creativity, I was able to become a more effective…

We really enjoyed our first teambuilding with almost complete members. I also learned that each one of us has his/her own capabilities and skills that can contribute well to the project’s betterment.…
