Coelho expresses to the reader that by believing in what you want and by communicating it to the soul of the world by sending out energy to the universe, one will eventually succeed, as the alchemist said to Santiago, “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” (Source: Part 1, page 22)
Santiago was able to transform himself into the wind in order to save himself and the alchemist from dying; it is not about the literal transformation of the body into air but instead about Santiago’s beliefs and will that allowed him to accomplish what he desired.
