Senior Capstone Reflection

The senior capstone project was an eye-opening experience for me. I have been through some ups and downs as I was working on my project. The last couple of months has been an exceptional experience for me as it taught me some real-life lessons that I could use in my future. I have working on to develop a business plan for myself that I could turn into reality in near future. For my project, I was shadowing a local business owner. He taught me how to provide the ideal customer service, all the requirements to open a new business, how to take care of a business, and run the business properly to secure growth. As I was approaching the end of my project, I realized that without hard work, planning, and dedication nothing would have a happy ending.
Hossain, I had to the opportunity to communicate with people and gained real life experiences about business. I also had the opportunity to attend business meeting with Mr. Hossain. Everything worked the way I had planned. Some week I’ve shadowed longer than the other week, because of Mr. Hossain’s busy schedule. At the end, everything went smoothly and I gained tremendous amount of knowledge. I learned about management skills. I learned how to manage employee, money and products. I also learned to provide services to customers, and how to deal with different types of customer. I learned about time management that as an owner or employee, I must come to work on time. Someday I had to stay longer hours and still couldn’t work on my project because of busy hours. I had to wait and just come home. Whenever, I had to serve customers, it was very challenging. Eventually, I was getting used to it and now I could act along with customers easily. If I could do the project over again, I would shadow more than one owners. Not all the businesses, owners, and customers are same. So, I would try to get more experience different types of business and people.
I do have few interesting experiences while completing my project. I had the opportunity to attend business meeting among business owners. I went to different wholesale stores to get products for Mr. Hossain’s business. I also had the opportunity to work as an employee for Mr. Hossain and serve customers. I am most proud about my business plan. Over the past few months, I have been working to develop a business plan for myself. I have done a lot research to gain knowledge on how to start a business. I am proud of this because I can use my business plan to start a business in
