Senior Reflection Paper My name is Tiffany Perdue. I’m currently seventeen years old and have lived in many places throughout my life. I have attended Newton High School on and off during my high school career and while here I have learned a few things. I have learned about the career path, about friendship, about the struggles of life, and mostly I have learned about myself and who I am. My career choice has changed multiple times throughout my four years in high school. When I was a freshman, all I thought about being was a veterinarian and helping treat sick animals wherever I am. Sophomore year, I wanted to be a forensic scientist. That was until I took chemistry and struggled to

Ever since I was little I went fishing with my dad so my love for aquatic animals and the water is extreme.Because of that marine biologist would be good career choice for me. Another career choice I have considered was a crime scene technician because of my recently watching a tv show Hawaii 5-0. I have found that I really like the crime scene environment. Both careers differ in education, job qualities, and job tasks. But they are similar to each other in work environment.…

I always knew about having to do a senior project and when it came down to it, I wanted to do something in the career I want to become. I went to my dentist to see if I could shadow them and they said no, because there was a virus going around and I couldn't be exposed to it. I tried to talk to an investigator and try to do my senior project with them since they were my second choice it didn't work out. They were always busy and everything is pretty secretive so I couldn't do it. My friend Darlin told me about how her sister did her senior project in Children's Advocacy Center and explained to me what it's about. It sounded like a great idea!…

I had never really discussed the Senior Project with any of the 2016 seniors, so I really did not know what awaited me. It only took a short period of time to open my eyes to the tremendous task facing me and my fellow classmates. When I started writing my research paper, the information I began collecting on becoming a high school history teacher seemed very familiar. Since both my grandparents taught school for thirty-two years, I have listened all my life to their stories about earning their teaching degrees, as well as the joys and woes of their years of teaching.…

This book has easily become one of the top books I have read as a Liberty University student since the principles that it includes are extremely applicable. Immediately after I had read about “The Law of the Learner,” I repented of how I used to think. Because I was lazy, I would put the blame on the student if he or she were failing, rather than striving to work harder and learn different ways I could create learners. However, after reading Wilkinson’s writings and stories, I desired to be a teacher who would not tolerate students who are not paying attention. Namely, I would do whatever it takes to have students learn, rather than blaming them for not learning. In addition, while I read “The Law of Expectations,” I reminisced of a student pastor actively…

When I was nine years old, the horse that my sister was riding stepped in a gopher hole. As the news came back that he had broken his leg and had to be put down as a result of it, my sister was devastated. Right then, as I watched my sister get comforted by my parents, I knew that I wanted to try to help other people and their animals so they never had to feel the loss that my sister felt. That is when I knew I wanted to be a large animal veterinarian. I chose animal science as my major because it will provide me hands- on experience with animals that I could not get with other departments. It would allow me to have a solid animal background before veterinary school as well as get the prerequisites needed.…

I would like to begin my answer by stating I am an indecisive person. I change my mind more than a politician does. Anyway, at the moment, I currently see myself pursuing a career in marketing with my post high school degree. I have always be fascinated and even entertained by marketing campaigns, from television commercials to print advertisements, and I am greatly interested in the psychology behind advertisements. A marketing agent is essentially one who studies human behavior in order to best sell a product, and, with a little work, I could easily see myself both enjoying and succeeding in a career within this field. Another career I could see myself pursuing is a biologist. I love science, and biology has always has a special place in my heart. The idea alone of testing and creating new scientific theories puts me in a state of euphoria, so, needless to say, I am interested in biology. There are other careers I am considering, and, like every other student, my tastes will surely change. At the moment though, I like the idea of a career in marketing or biology. Thank you for reading, and thank you for Saturday…

We had numerous Social Workers walk in and out of our lives, but seeing how they handled our case really intrigued me into wanting to know what their career consisted of. After some investigation, and advice from my high school counselor, I finally realized that social work was a good fit for…

Freshman year was a learning experience with growing pains. I had preconceived notions of what it would be like as a Black male at a Predominately White Institution. I believed that I would be in a diverse place where I could meet people from different backgrounds and life experiences. I was extremely excited to begin this journey, and being a member of the Honors program made me even more excited. However, that excitement quickly turned into shock and disbelief, when people questioned whether I belonged at UNC in the honors program. It was an isolating experience, being the only Black male in a room, and people having stop their conversations and stare at me.…

I had a an interview with two people. I had an interview with my fellow friend’s mother, Lazaria Foreman and my father, Mitchell Burgess. I asked both adults on their decisions on whether they went to college or not. My questions were very specific on experiences of college and not being able to attend college. One main question that I asked, which sums up this essay is “ Were you successful, life after highschool or college?” and both answers were yes.…
