Senioritis is a plague that ravages our nation. High schoolers who have contracted this disease are ready for their senior year to be over. This epidemic has caused so many GPA’s to fall and many four point zero’s to be squandered. We haven’t found a solution for this issue. Possibly it is just part of human nature. A phase that we go through. No one will really know the answer.…

Approaching issues in a modest way is the easiest way to get through to someone. Senior year was a difficult year because of how my criminal justice teacher handled his organization. There was a time when we had to take an important exam that determined our final grade for this Homeland Security course we were taking at the time. My teacher wasn’t the most meticulous individual so the test was given to us the day after we were told about it. It was a fairly easy exam, there were questions we knew and questions we didn’t know, but either way, everyone who took the test didn’t get they were expecting. I decided to take it upon myself and arrange a meeting with him after class. When the time came, we spoke about the issue.…
Senioritis is real I guess or my hate for school or something because every morning I get up and wish I didn't have to go. It's my senior year i'm just ready to get out of this place I don't care what happens I got this bad view on things. When they tell me I need to do something I think to myself who cares It won't be long and I can work and make money. I would love to be working right now and not replying on this I just don't understand most of the stuff they have us do in school about 85% I would say in the line of work i'm going in i'll never use it but I may be wrong so I try to just keep to myself and push through.…
Senioritis Senioritis is commonly known around all high schools. According to the Merriam Webster, this term means an ebbing of motivation and effort by school seniors as evidenced by tardiness, absences, and lower grades. Senioritis is also considered a psychotic disorder. This word is not an actual sickness or disease in high school seniors, it’s just laziness because they’re getting close to the end. History…
Obstacles and hardships are what shape a person. One of my many obstacles I had to face was getting use to my freshman year in high school. Due to me going to an Early college my freshman experience may have been a little different. Transitioning was one of the most difficult parts of the whole experience due to me not being able to really grasp what I had gotten myself into. My teachers were very firm in conducting their teaching strategies. I can recall a moment in time where I had turned in one of my first papers for my English class I was so excited for her to read it because I had worked all night on it trying to perfect it. A couple days passed and I got the paper back it was so many read marks on it if I didn't know any better I would…
Every high school senior is given certain "privileges" that the underclassmen are not. There have been complaints about whether or not seniors should be entitled to these privileges or not. The answer to this complaint is, yes, seniors are very entitled to their privileges. The expectations for students have increased considerably over the years, making reaching senior year less common for students than it used to be. Any student that has been able to withstand the stress of high school for 4 (or in some cases more) years is more than entitled to a few privileges. The privileges themselves are not anything huge in the first place. The seniors are dismissed a few minutes before the underclassmen before their lunch and at the end of the day. They are also given up…
Normally college freshman are taking courses that aren’t focused on their major. Most freshman feel that these courses are really boring and a waste of time. Right now I am struggling in my history class because it is something I am not interested in. It is important for college students to be motivated in their work. “The students who succeed will need to be self-motivated.”(“Breakthrough Learning”). I believe freshman have trouble getting up, going to class, studying, and making deadlines because aren’t motivated. Personally there are times I struggle because there is no one to remind to study or work on assignments. I now have the freedom to do my own thing in college. College freshman are also far away from the finish line, so they aren’t as motivated as seniors. Because their vision of graduation is so blurry, freshman will more likely go left than right. If college freshman don’t change, they could possibly fail or even drop out. According to nurse practioner, Sandra Halburner says, “Although, if you do begin to notice that your quality of life is starting to crumble-such as lower grades or sleep loss-that’s a huge sign to that it’s time to make a change.”(Halburner). It’s safe to assume that if a student doesn’t prepare themselves for the next exam or finish their assignments, they will receive failing grades. And continuing making those unsatisfactory grades, college freshmen will…

What is Senioritis? It is a very malicious and spreading disease; it starts with laziness and can even go as far as you not caring about anything, besides getting out of school! Senioritis is infecting our halls and is now airborne all over the United States, infecting our youth from grades raging through nine to twelfth it can infect anyone even your neighbor.…
Social class in America is a subject which always has and always will continue to affect our daily lives. The video "People like us: Social Class in America" offered several depictions of class in the U.S.. The video's depictions ranged in accuracy in terms of its definition of social classes. However the video itself caused me to realize the great affect social class has on my life as well as the lives of those around me. Classism in the United States is a very big, yet silent prejudice that is continually causing many problems in our society.…
So far, my senior is going pretty good. I've been working hard on my PTP, trying to make it as professional as possible, while still trying to show who I am as a person. I'm not gonna lie, the classes have not been easy. The millions of assignments I've been getting have been a detriment to my grades. They seem to be very ubiquitous lately and I just can't seem to get away from them. I haven't exactly been on top of things lately. I'm on the girls volleyball team and we sometimes have to leave school early for our "away games", so I when I get back the next day I have to try and catch up on the classwork I've missed. But, there are a lot of things I could do better to make sure I stay on top of things. Like, going to see my teachers during recess and lunch, so they can help me catch up. Or, going to study hall before volleyball practice to get any homework done instead of waiting till I get home after practice. I'm proud that I actually made it to my senior year because last year and the year before that was not easy.…
Everyone looks forward to senior year, thought of as the easiest year by many students. However, I thought wrong managing between cleaning, cooking, and making sure all my school work was done quickly became overwhelming. I was doing too much with too little time and it started to affect my personal life. I was staying at home trying to finish all my work or I wasn’t doing it at…
