The child simply misses his father and does not want to be away from his dad. Again, this is normal and normally not a cause for concern. I would tell the new co-teacher that her behavior towards the child is not acceptable at this day-care and how I would tell the new co-teacher instead of complaining, She should be patient with the child and help the child be comfortable within the new environment until his dad comes back to pick him up. I would tell the new co-teacher to not only be patient but use comforting words to the child, like say “You’re father will be back very soon and He loves you very much”. I would also tell the new co-teacher to use comforting words such as; “You are going to have so much fun playing with the other children and make tons of friends”. This will help comfort the child and help the child understand that his father will come back to pick him up. As well as help the day care transition easier and less stressful for the
