Serpico
Becoming a police can be a good thing if you don’t abuse your power and stand by what is right instead of wrong. Many times there are good cops and then there are the corrupted cops who don’t follow the rules and pretend to have blind eyes to the crime that’s surrounding them. There is a movie named “Serpico” it is a true story about an honest New York cop Frank Serpico (Al Pacino) who didn’t believe in rampant corruption in the force and tried to rectify the corruption only to have his comrades’ turn against him. Throughout the movie Serpico went from being probationary patrolman to a full patrolman. Serpico never wanted to wear police uniform, he preferred regular clothes because he believed that it would help expose vice racketeering. He worked in Brooklyn and the Bronx switching from precinct to precinct after find out that many of the cops where crooked cops and took money from the drug dealers. …show more content…
Serpico wanted no part of it, he felt it was wrong and should be brought out in the open to bring justice to the system and have honest cop, because Serpico believed in honesty all the cops throughout the different precincts hated him and would rather him be dead. But despite knowing how much danger he was in he still went through with his decision to be an honest cop and bring justice to the police
