Stereotypes can be positive or negative, but they rarely communicate accurate information about others. When people apply any norms on anyone based on their gender they are contributing to spread and enhance gender stereotyping. Habitually, the female stereotypic role is to marry and have children. Likewise, she is to put her family's happiness before her own. She has to be loving, compassionate, caring, nurturing, and sympathetic. The male stereotypic role is to be the financial provider. He has to work and provide money to feed his family and insure financial happiness for them. Furthermore, he has to hold his emotions, strong, independent, courageous, and job dedicated. These are the main stereotypes that went viral many years ago and continued till now. There are huge differences in attitudes towards gender roles. For instance, in the World Values Survey, people were surveyed if they thought that wage work should be restricted to only men in the case of lack in jobs.
