Sexism towards women has always been an issue, though we all tend to see it as normal or ignore it since it is an everyday thing in a woman’s life. Woman are described as being compassionate, but when they those norms, they are labeled as “brusque” and “uncaring”, even when it comes to getting a traditional male position as much as being promoted as a work place. “Studies have found that women who succeed in male domains (violating incompetence) are disliked, women who promote themselves (violating modesty) are less herbal, women who negotiate for higher pay (violating passivity) are penalized, and women who express anger (violating warmth) are given lower status” (Jaff,1). Women have always played a role when it comes to having a family to take care of, woman is expected to be a stay at home moms which means their job is to cook, clean and take care of the kids (stay at home mom). Woman is not expected to have a higher education and work, while men are. Most men are always working, never home, implying they don’t spend much time with the kids; though if a woman were to do that society would see it as a bad thing because women are expected to take care of the family only. “We engage in prejudice against men that inhibits equality. I’ve seen women take babies away from their fathers in parks in order to change their diapers because “men aren’t good” at that sort of thing” (Zeigler, 1). Just because we are not traditionally used to seeing men doing certain things, like taking care of the kids does not mean they cannot do
