He tells Hamlet to keep his mother from being overwhelmed. Gertrude thinks Hamlet has gone mad, and has no idea who he is talking to. Hamlet is the only one who sees the ghost. She tells him that it is his imagination that he is seeing things. That they mind can hallucinate, when you have gone mad.
A#4 Question 4: The two reasons for why Claudius has not taken action on Hamlet is: 1) The Queen is his mother and she is loves him more than anything. She is a big part of the king’s life “she’s so conjunctive to my life and soul” (Shakespeare 1879), and he cannot live without her. The second reason is that the people love him and that he could not have him arrested, because he would end up hurting himself. They would not believe him and they would thing he was doing it because he is his brothers son.
A#5 Question 3: Yorick was a funny person with a great imagination, and his friend. He use to carry Hamlet on his back and while staring at his lips, he tells Horatio he does not know how many times he has kissed his lips. Hamlet is realizing how much he has missed Yorick, and that his mother will end up like him one day.
