Shakespeare's Iago: Honorable And Trustworthy Man

- Iago who is portrayed as a very honourable and trustworthy man can be seen to use this to his benefit in which he manipulates weak minded characters such as of Roderigo and Cassio himself to get closer to his goals. Iago’s schemes of manipulation are based off his desire to get back at those who has hurt him and what he believes is rightfully his (lieutenant rank and Emelia). Shakespeare has created a very complex in Iago in which Shakespeare lets Iago reveal himself and his character portrait to the audience in many conventional ways.
