SHARED ASSIGNMENT -
Human Resources Management (HRM) effectively practiced, leads to structure or define Organizational Behavior (OB), as stated by Wisegeek (2003-2014), it can be seen in the worker’s attitude towards their jobs, as it shapes the perceptions and behavior of employees, resulting in two primary desired outcomes which are job performance and organizational commitment as indicated by McGraw-Hill (2014). For projects, large or small scale, HRM strategically controls the issues related to welfare of employees, good communication environment, as well as orientation for new employees regarding the company image and the expected OB in order to maintain that image, given that any employee at any given time may represent the company in meetings with third parties (clients, contractors, licensees, among others).
One important OB concept to manage in projects is the ‘diversity’ of cultures within the people that conform the team. And although this concept is mentioned in the HRM/OB Matrix, the matrix fails to indicate Indigenous Psychologies as a resource in International HR for the selection and recruitment of an employee. Since projects have a defined time frame for completion, the recruitment of professionals for the team has to be very assertive, as it will define the success or hits and misses of the project, so, in the process, every single aspect of a professional must be taken into consideration with the optimization of the job in mind. Indigenous Psychologies as stated by Joan Harvey and George Erdos (2014), addresses in brief those aspects of various cultures that are particular or unique to them, often where there is no direct equivalent elsewhere. For example: Deviant views not accepted for several decades in Russia, or Emphasis on respect, family and hierarchy
