Shawn Mendes Research Paper
Shawn Mendes Do you have that one person, whom you do not know, that impacts your life? For me, it's Shawn Peter Raul Mendes. He is a 18 year old, Canadian, singer and songwriter. Shawn sings pop, acoustic, and folk pop. He is excellent at playing guitar, piano, keyboards, and vocals. Shawn has taught me many things, even changed my life for the better. To me, Shawn is that one person who has impacted my life. "Stitches," his first song, is what got me pinned. I didn't know who sung it, but I loved it. Finding out it was him, only made it better. I first heard "Stitches" with my mom and cousin, Summer. Summer and I both fell in love with it immediately. Remembering what we could, of the song, we asked our friends if they knew it. Luckily, …show more content…
He has a big heart. Shawn loves to present his time to others. He would often backtrack and pose for pictures with his fans. He has even donated to a care center. Often enough, he makes his fans smile, and gives them something to think about. Though, who would he be without his humor. On tight schedules, he still makes time for his fans. Not once, have I ever seen or heard him say a bad thing about anyone. He has taught me to be me, not to let other people adjust my attitude.
Shawn Mendes has impacted my life for the better. His voice is angelic, and his songs have life lessons in them. "Treat You Better" tells me to make the right decisions, to pick the best option. "Mercy" tells me to let go of the things you love most. "Life of the Party" tells me to be me that no matter what, being yourself is better than being fake. So, he has taught me many different life lessons. He has changed my point of view on many things. Many of his songs have inspired me to do the proper thing, to be me, not someone else, and to set things free. Shawn has suggested that I do the right thing, even though I have never met him. Each one of his songs has a divergent meaning. Many people interpret the song differently, but they have meanings. There are many points in my life when I find myself thinking of his songs and their meanings. I often ask myself questions about what to do, and think of one of his songs that fit the

Maynard James Keenan (born James Herbert Keenan) is not your average artist. He is a jack-of-all arts kind of guy. His massive amount of works of art can be visualized as a great river with many streams and tributaries. He has taken on all kinds of roles, a role as a vintner, a comedian, singer/songwriter, and he’s played every band member’s role in at least one of his productions. Because of the deep philosophic meaning his fans find in his lyrical works he is practically seen as a god. Maynard James Keenan is far from divine, he is human, that is what inspires me about him. He in an artist through and through, he sees through ruse and facade of humanity in the modern era. He speks from his heart. For over 25 years, American rapper Lil Wayne has grown to be one of the biggest and most influential lyricists in the hip-hop music industry. Wayne started rapping at the age of 12 and since then has discussed gang violence, guns, women, drugs, and his abundant wealth. In recent news Lil Wayne has stated that he has never dealt with racism. His defense is that because he is a young rich black man, that America must see clearly that black lives do matter. These statements didn’t come by surprise to most since many people see Lil Wayne (and many other rappers) as vulgar and degrading. Many critics see this type of lyrical content to be paralleled with a lack of education regarding social interactions and norms. Lil Wayne was questioned about his stance on the BLM movement on Fox Sports’ Undisputed on which he was questioned about Colin Kaepernick’s refusal to stand during the national anthem. Wayne is unable to see…

His family was very supportive of his music talent that at the age of 14 he got his first guitar. His mother urged him to belt out George Strait songs over and over while she drove him into town to shop. By the age of 15, Luke was able to entertain a small crowd. His father took him to a local club and let him sing. His talent was spotted by two local songwriters who had provided tunes for Nashville artists. They asked him to join them at writing sessions at a local church. Graduating from high school, the opportunity to move to Nashville to pursue career in music. Marshall Mathers, otherwise known as Eminem, plays a great part in society. Think about what would happen if there was no Eminem? One less rapper is more than likely what you are thinking right? Well it is not just one less rapper. It would also be one less role model for those who really care about him. Eminem is an influence to the young life and even the adults. His songs are stories based on his life and things that he would have wanted to change or make different. Most of them are based on subjects that actually happened to him first hand. Some of the children growing up in this time and some adults face some of the same problems he faced. Therefore, Eminem is an influence who expresses his self in his own different style or character.…

One reason I chose this song was because I listen to a lot of hip hop music and well pretty much anything, but hip hop is up on my list. When talking about music that motivates me I would have to pick between Drake and Eminem, because they both can put such emotion in a few words to make it a paragraph of meaning. What they can do with their music amazes me. I like the way this song flows when he’s rapping and how the words go together. The flow and the words he says make sense. Compared to other rappers who don’t even make sense when they rap is not like Drake at all. He has a meaning to his music and this song is about him and all of his success in life so far.…
