The duties and responsibilities in my role as a team leader include:
Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and reviewing care.
Shift management and delivery of rotas, performance of the care teams.
Dispensing of medication, ensuring procedures are being followed.
Delivering a quality service in line with CQC essential standards, improving the quality of customer’s lives.
People management experience within a customer focused environment.
Using knowledge of Health & safety legislation along with the knowledge of safeguarding of vulnerable adults (local/national policies) and the mental capacity act.

In my role, I have certain standards and expectations to which I must adhere; Codes of Practice for Social Care Workers, CQC care standards and my job description mean that I am expected to respect and where appropriate, promote the individual’s views and wishes. Support the service users’ rights to control their lives and make informed choices about the services they receive, respect and maintain the dignity and privacy of service users. Promote equal opportunities for service users and carers and respecting diversity and different cultures and values.
I must make sure I am honest and trustworthy, communicate in an appropriate, open, accurate and straightforward way whilst respecting confidential information and clearly explaining company policies about confidentiality to service users. I should be reliable and dependable, honouring work commitments, agreements and arrangements and, when it is not possible to do so, explaining why to service users. I always need to be adhering to policies and procedures about accepting gifts and money from service users.
I am always expected to promote the independence of service users while protecting them as far as possible from danger or harm, as well as respect the rights of service users while seeking to ensure that their behaviour does not harm themselves or other people. I must uphold public trust and confidence
