A duty of care is an obligation imposed on an individual requiring that they adhere to a standard of reasonable care.
Providing a strong duty of care and a secure environment for all children within the care of the setting, providing structured routines that involve feeding, nappy changing, upholding a strong parent and partnership discussing the care and needs of the children with the parent/carer.
Providing a safe and secure environment and ensuring the setting is strong on safe guarding and/or the protection of individuals through our duty of care following policies and procedures in place upon entering or leaving the building a thumb print must be provided only by the parent/carers placed upon the pickup and drop of list, working across the setting with age appropriate ratios, babies and tweenies 1 – 3, Toddlers 1 – 4 and pre-school 1 – 8. Structured development opportunities through individual planning to children’s own needs, also daily health and safety checks across the building morning and evening to be carried out we also have daily cleaning rotas to insure the setting is clean and we are stopping the spread of infection. By ensuring risk assessments are completed within the setting to make sure all toys are safe and the equipment is age appropriate for the children within our care. Assessing the setting and making sure there are no potential hazards such as hazard materials being left in the open or electrical sockets uncovered. Ensuring that food is stored properly to stop cross infection and the kitchen is also clean to stop the spread of bacteria and germs. Training for all staff handling food and within health and safety is
