Shere Khan stilled had the same intention of no harm of Mowgli but if Baloo got a scar or two he would not have cared. He leaped to the bear and boy and as he landed he pushed the bear away from the kid standing in the middle. Baloo was next to the trunk of a tall tree, Mowgli was climbing to the top away from Shere Khan. Shere Khan was amazed by the climbing skill. Baloo started a fire which has spread through the jungle now. Shere Khan leaped off of Baloo’s head to catch Mowgli who was now at the top of the tallest tree in the jungle. When Shere Khan got to the top he realized that the fall would kill him or Mowgli, and there is a fire going on down there. Shere Khan jumped at Mowgli to try and get him safely down but it did not work. He shook the tree making Mowgli trip, so Shere Khan caught him with his huge paw and threw him to the nearest branch. With the added weight of Shere Khan the tree branch snapped, only Shere Khan fell because he sacrificed himself to save the man cub. Shere Khan fell down to earth in the the bright red fire.
