Sherlock Holmes Accomplishments

The famous author, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, was an exquisite person, and thanks to his inspiring stories, we are here today, better off, with his ingenuity and wit. He inspired an era of interest in forensics and inspired the study thereof with his fascinating tales. All the while leading a life of adventure and achievement. The author of the famous character, “Sherlock Holmes” was born on May 22, 1859, in Edinburgh, Scotland. He part of a prosperous Irish family, with his father, architect, artist, and chronic alcoholic. Charles Altamont Doyle, Arthur's father married Mary Foley, who as Doyle’s mother was a huge light in his life, of which he later wrote in his autobiography about. He soon learned that leaving his mother and going to this school were both bad. He hated the environment that the schools of this era often had, with their strict punishments and he disliked the bigotry that was, as it appeared to him, all around him. Regardless of the fact that he hated his studies, and was a poor behaved boy in his school, he started his passion of storytelling there. Between him playing multiple sports, such as cricket, he would have all of the other students crowding around him as he would tell them tales he would come up with on the spot. Even though he was busy, he never forgot to write to his mother, of whom he cared about deeply, and remained a large influence throughout his life. In 1876, graduating at the age of seventeen, Arthur Doyle, (as he was called, before adding his middle name "Conan" to his name), was mostly a normal young man, with good humor, and, as he said he was “full blooded and a trifle reckless”. He commented in his autobiography later on that he thought that he was like this and it was good, because he had experienced though times, and the energy he had helped him
