Olivia seems like a sweet girl in The Great Mouse Detective and trying to help Watson and Sir Basil find her father but she is a young girl so she really doesn’t know what she is doing. In the Sherlock Holmes film Irene changes her sides with whom she is dealing with and what she really wants.

Olivia in The Great Mouse Detective tries to help Sir Basil and Watson find her father until she gets captured by the man who took her father. Irene Adler in Sherlock Holmes was trying to mess with Sherlock to get him confused and turned out to like him.
Irene from Sherlock Holmes and Olivia from The Great Mouse Detective both try and help with the case while being captured by the bad people.
Irene Adler starts off being on the bad side but then switches to Sherlock and helping him defeat the bad people, she is also human. Olivia tries to get Watson and Sir Basil’s help and gets captured then finds her father, she is also a mouse.
