Map of Shinjuku (ちず)
I chose to do Shinjuku as my assignment. I chose this place because Shinjuku is one of the most popular business, entertainment and shipping district in Tokyo. It is one of the most busiest places in Japan, and it is a number one suggested place to visit in Japan.
Shinjuku is a large city which lies in the western part of Tokyo, near Shibuya(渋谷) and Harajuku(原宿). It is a very busy district with flashing neon, giant skyscrapers, huge TV screens and all sorts of different shopping departments. More than 3.5 million people pass through Shinjuku station every day, making it into the top 5 busiest station in the world. Shinjuku station is another mall of itself, consisting of thousands of restaurants and stores underground. The prestigious Waseda University and Okubo, Tokyo 's beset known Korean town, are also located in Shinjuku.
It does not cost to get into Shinjuku, but it will cost to get there. The closest station from Homeikan Morikawa Bekkan Ryokan Tokyo, which is the accommodation on 03/10/12, is Tokyo Station. From Tokyo station to Shinjuku station, the subway fare is 190 yen for an adult.
