Shopping or doing groceries are one of the basic routines of the people in order to fulfill their needs, wants, and desires, especially the people who are in the marketing industry.
But because people today are becoming busier and are very much occupied by their jobs, they sometimes neglect this routine. They don’t have much time to give for shopping or doing groceries even though it is really needed. The developers of this project aim to solve this problem by developing a mobile application appropriate for busy individuals. By this, these busy individuals can shop or do their groceries even at their homes while sitting.
As shopping or doing groceries become one of the necessities to satisfy people’s need, we believe that the proposed project has the potential to solve specific problem in shopping or doing groceries. Thus, with the wide increase of Mobile Applications all over the country or the world for that matter, the need to upgrade and improve is a must for the marketing industry and it also can help improve the lifestyle of the people or the consumers.
1.1 Project Context
Recognizing that we are living in a “technologically civilized society” (Singbird, 2010:1), whereby the world is dependent with technology such as gadgets, devices and everything which is technically advanced, it is important that developers should keep up with the fast-paced advancement of technology. The people in today’s world are becoming busier nowadays; they are very much occupied with their jobs and every day routines which sometimes may neglect simple things to do at home such as shopping or doing groceries (Kreider, 2012), a fact that every people in the marketing industry should be well aware of.
As of now, people tend to shop in a manual process, manual by means of going to the store, picking of basket, selecting products and paying it to the counter. Because it is a manual process it has its disadvantages; (1) this can take more time and effort since
