Short Story: A Trip To Montana

It all started in an old, abandoned movie theater. Jim was siting there watching the movie with his friends and his mom. All of a sudden a message came on screen saying, "Evacuate immediately a hurricane is coming!" If you stay you won't be safe you could drown. But, if you leave you won't drown. You will get food, shelter, and a place where you know you will be safe."

Jim asked, "What are we going to do? Are we going to stay or leave?"

Jim's Mom said, "We are going to leave and I guess we will just take your friends with us. Maybe that's why their families really didn't want them to come with us."

So on they went from Florida to Montana to be safe from the hurricane. They met the rest of the town there.

After three weeks, Jim asked,
"Mom, Mom. Can we go home yet?"

Jim's mom replied, "Not yet, pretty soon though."

Two weeks latter they went back to Florida to their town they came from. Everything was destroyed except for the movie theater that warned Jim, his mother, and his friends about the hurricane that was coming. The next day they started picking up the trash. Picking up the trash took three days. Then rebuilding everything took a couple of months.
