But in the midst of all the students, there was one student named Billy Longnose who wasn't the average Lake Side student. For one, he often roamed the school's underground passages that had long been abandoned by students and staff.how does this compare to normal students there? The tunnel floors were mostly faded and covered with dirt and grime. The walls paint was faded to a mere faded wood surface, while some of the walls and roof were partially or fully collapsed. Meanwhile the old cafeteria's old wood chairs and cabin wood tables …show more content…
Yes, Billy did have a major social network at school, while he absolutely despised his domestic habitat. He truly hated his legal guardians because he didn't know them well. Whenever he asked about his blood parents they often replied with an uneasy "lost" or the occasional "I don't know" . These responses always angered him inside as he felt like he was obligated to know the truth. But what the legal guardians knew was totally different. They were aware of his anger and took care of it, but their mission was to stay as unbounded with Billy as possible. For if Billy knew the full story of his parents, he would know what was beyond the gate. Yes, even the legal guardians knew of the gate because they were the gatekeepers. Their entire mission was to protect the key to the gate which was Billy. Also, they were supposed to prevent Billy from unlocking the gate before the time foretold. But as you'll soon find out, that time is really …show more content…
For one, room C28 was in the underground passages Billy had long explored, and 2 , it was no longer in use. But inside he felt a compulsive feeling saying " Go right now" but as usual did, he shrugged it off and waited. But eventually an eerie feeling made Billy get up and go. He followed the old main hallway until he found the downward spiraling stairs and took a left. Then he found what he called " The Biggest,Baddest room". And took a right. In that spot he could see the 8th grade history hallway where he was supposed to report, so he went down it. In that spot a problem arose. As Billy looked in front of him he saw a huge mound of dirt and grime that stood around 6 inches from the ceiling. Billy turned around but noticed a huge viper hanging above his head. Billy knew then and there he had to get out but just as he thought that, the roof over the hallway entrance fully collapsed. Poor Billy had no way of escaping and was trapped. The roofs collapsed also triggered the huge viper to wake up and fall. Billy ran to the collapsed roof to try to break through, but he had no success. This didn't stop Billy because he kept trying until he was caught off guard by the hiss of the viper's younger across the air. Billy turned around only to see the viper rearing up around 10 ft in the air with its red scales gleaming in the dull light. Then the viper began to slither toward him when it lunged at Billy. It missed and smacked the wall and made

Sammy would always walk the long way home from school to avoid Billy and his gang who would throw rocks at him. He walked this way because it was past a large old house, and all of the other kids were scared of it. The House was two stories tall with a peaked roof that had holes in it. The High school kids had written graffiti on the sides, and the windows were all but shards of glass. The white paint was peeling off and the gray wood appeared behind it. The door to enter was open, and it seemed to look like a black hole, the shrubs and grass were so over grown they covered the bottom half of the house with all but the door covered.…

"The bell rang and we went to our next class, each of us knowing our classmate was in the locker, but none daring to open it up to let him out. I don't know if he yelled for help, if he banged on the metal locker to get our attention, or if he remained mute like that woman in the movie 'The Pit and the Pendulum.' Her locker was riddled with sharp spikes ready to pierce her when she could stand no longer. So he had it way better."…

You really don’t know who we are?” Jason shrugged helplessly. “It’s worse than that. I don’t know who I am.” The bus dropped them in front of a big red stucco complex like a museum, just sitting in the middle of nowhere. Maybe that’s what it was: the National Museum of Nowhere, Jason thought. A cold wind blew across the desert. Jason hadn’t paid much attention to what he was wearing, but it wasn’t nearly warm enough: jeans and sneakers, a purple T-shirt, and a thin black windbreaker. “So, a crash course for the amnesiac,” Leo said, in a helpful tone that made Jason think this was not going to be helpful. “We go to the ‘Wilderness School’”—Leo made air quotes with his fingers. “Which means we’re ‘bad kids.’ Your family, or the court, or whoever, decided you were too much trouble, so they shipped you off to this lovely prison—sorry, ‘boarding school’—in Armpit, Nevada, where you learn valuable nature skills like running ten miles a day through the cacti and weaving daisies into hats! And for a special treat we go on ‘educational’ field trips with Coach Hedge, who keeps order with a baseball bat. Is it all coming back to you now?” “No.” Jason glanced apprehensively at the other kids: maybe twenty guys, half that many girls. None of them looked like hardened criminals, but he wondered what they’d all done to get sentenced to a school for delinquents, and he wondered why he belonged with them. Leo rolled his eyes. “You’re really gonna play this out,…

Nestled within western Hennepin County and Carver County, Minnesota, Lake Minnetonka holds unique meaning for different people. The retreating Wisconsin Glacier of the last Ice Age that produced melted blocks of ice, gave life and form to this island lake. It was Alexander Ramsey, Minnesota’s territorial governor in 1852, who gave Lake Minnetonka its name. The lake is also commonly known as the Big Waters, deriving that nickname from the Sioux language in which “Minne” means water and “Tonka” means big or great. As the ninth largest lake in Minnesota, Lake Minnetonka features several islands, a series of interconnecting bays including Haltsed Bay and Grays Bay, and it covers 22.2 square miles of water, boasting roughly 110 miles of beautiful…

I stared aghast as it advanced down the hall corridor toward me. I tried desperately to get to my feet, but it seemed that my brain and body were disconnected. Scrambling back, my chest heaved with the fast yet deep breaths of extreme fright at a rate which increased as the silhouetted figure drew nearer. Suddenly, a bump confirmed an immediately worse fear than the figure: my back was against the wall. It stalked closer and closer and closer until I could see its glowing yellow eyes contrasted against the moonless night in the window; its maw full of pointed teeth . Trembling with all-encompassing fear, I watched almost in slow-motion as he lunged! I barely threw myself aside in time, and my shoulder banged against the side of the hall. As the monstrous being turned to look at me with withering vehemence, I knew it was over this time. I was trapped in a corner, and one look at the snarling countenance told me everything. Escape was impossible. The glowing eyes flashed, and I yelled as the widely spread jaws became the only thing I saw! And it was at that moment that I woke up.…
