Then the sentry comes back with Antigone stating that she’s the culprit that buried her brother, Polyneices. Ismene tried to join her sister but Antigone wouldn’t have it and Ismene was spared but Antigone was sentenced to death in a stone vault. For she had pleaded guilty and welcomed her fatal fate.
