Short Story: Summary: Madison Smith '
Missing: Madison Smith. I read this sentence a couple more times. My stomach was a melting pot. I looked under that missing persons flyer and found two more missing persons flyers, Maisy Johnson and David Peterson, my siblings. As I was staring at the papers I heard the front door fly open and my mom step into the house. I scrambled to shove the sheets under the bed again and grabbed the purse I had gone in her room to get. I went out of the room and tried to be as nonchalant as possible.
“Are you feeling okay Madison? You’re looking quite pale,” she says
“Yeah I’m fine, uh how was your day?” I asked, changing the subject.
“It was alright. Did you and your siblings get your school work done?”
“Yes we finished our classes about 20 minutes ago, and now I need to go talk to David,” I said. David is my older brother. Sometimes he can be really …show more content…
Maddie I don’t have time for your stupid little games right now. Get out of my room,” he said
“No David listen to me. I found missing peoples flyers of Maisy, you and I under mom and dad's bed,” I explained
“I find that incredibly hard to believe. This must be some prank. Get out of my room,”
“David you have to liste-” I get interrupted by my mother walking into Davids room. Crap. Did she hear what I said?
“What are you two talking about?” she asks
“Uh...math. Yeah math. I had some trouble with it and so I asked him to help me with this one equation.” I said, feeling my heart shake in my chest like an earthquake.
“I see,” she says suspiciously and leaves the room. I think she heard me. Dang it.
“David if you don’t believe me, I will show you the flyers tomorrow.” I said to him and walked from his room.
The next day around lunch time well our parents were at work, I showed David the flyers.
“How’d you make these?” he says reading the flyers
“What? David this isn’t a prank. Oh my god listen to me.” I said
“Ok so if these are real, what are we going to do?” He
