Short Story: Tiger To The First Threater
“Tiger to the first tee !!” he heard over the loud speaker. Tiger gave his club he was hitting to Steve and they both headed down to the first tee to start their first round of the Masters. The crowed went crazy when they saw Tiger rock up to the tee. He was off with fellow US player Jimmy Walker and Australian Adam Scott. Jimmy and Adam both teed off with the crowd around them being dead silent. As soon as Tiger got ready to hit you could tell the crowed was ready to go crazy. Ping !! Tiger had smashed his straight down the middle of the fairway 20 meters over Adam and Jimmy And the crowd loved it , you could hear the crowds excitement from the furthest end of the course. Tiger was in one of the last groups so everyone who was there on the …show more content…

Tiger was 5 under after playing only 7 holes. He was leading by 1 after 7 holes. Tiger’s golf game cooled down for a few holes after that, only making 6 pars in a row. On the 14th hole Tiger teed his ball up on the right side of the tee boxes because the hole was a dog leg turn down to the left with water on the right. Tiger then smashed his drive hoping to hit it straight or turn it around the corner on the left but instead he hit it right and into the trees. The worst thing Tiger had done all day. Tiger then tried to hit a low ball out of the trees to get it down the fairway. His next shot he smashed and put it on the green but not close enough because he missed the next put for a par. Tiger was now 4 under after 14 holes. Other players had now finished and he wasn’t winning anymore. The leader was Jayden belly with 7 under. Tiger had 4 holes left to try and maintain what he was on after day 1 or catch up to Jayden Belly. Unlucky he fell short with only 2 birdies to finish at a total of 6 under 1 shot behind Jayden and 1 shot in front of 3rd place Mark Leachmen, but that’s aright because it was only day 1 so Tiger had a lot of time to beat …show more content…

After round 2 Tiger and Jayden belly were tied 1st with 9 under and after day 3 tiger was 2 shots ahead of Jayden with Tiger being on 13 under. Tiger knew he had a big day ahead of him if he wanted to beat Jayden in the final round. Tiger as he did every night after a tournament went back to his hotel room to relax and prepare himself from the next round. When Tiger walked into his hotel room he found his caddy Steve sitting down on the couch with a shady looking figure. “Sit down Tiger we have something to ask from u.” Steve asked. “Tiger this is Jacob he has a deal to make with u.” Steve said. “Mr Wood is put a lot of money on the tournament your in and we can make a deal.” Jacob said slowly and softly. “ I put a few Million on Jayden Belly to win and I can give you some if he does wins, I am prepared to offer you 2 Million if u left him win and if I’m not mistaken that is more than what they would of gave you if you had of won.” “Anyways me and Steve have to go I’ll let you think about it.” Jacob said as he got up and walked out with Steve. Tiger just sat there for 10mintues just thinking about what had just happened and how happy that money could make

I find that the most important part of this story is how the plot moves along so quickly. It also manages to describe successfully each conflict or major part of the story. The key element of the plot is when Zaroff and Rainsford play the game. The main conflict would be external which is man verses man, or Zaroff verses Rainsford. There are three major conflicts of man that can be found in Connell's short story "The Most Dangerous Game." In the rest of this short essay I will utilize the elements of compositions and also identify and explain the three conflicts of man found in this story.…

Then it was finally my turn and as I stepped up the wind died down, now was my time and I teed the ball up quickly. I stood back and looked down the fairway for the different variables on the hole. There was out-of-bounds was far right and there was woods on the left but the hole had a fairly wide fairway. I begin to think of how I plan to hit the ball and I plan on putting a slight draw on the ball to give it topspin so it will roll more. I feel good about my swing and when I felt ready so I stepped up to the ball and pictured my ball in the fairway. Then I brought the club…

Hole eight was my destination; that’s where I was to meet my team. After introductions, the horn blared and the tournament began. After three tremendous shots down the fairway, the last boy in our group, Thomas, proceeded towards the tee box. That’s when I noticed something was wrong with the way he walked. What is wrong with him? How is he going to tee off if he can’t even walk right? This was going to take forever! He finally swung and the ball flew about fifty yards in front of him. I thought to myself, “My grandma could shoot farther than that and she’s never even played golf.” This was just the start of how our day went. At every hole, the two boys and I came in close to par; while, Thomas always scored ten to fifteen strokes over par. I noticed, though, his unbridled excitement and smile never faded. Every time his ball hit the hole, his enthusiasm was uncontainable. There were high fives for everyone! Somewhere along the course, I knew that my mindset had changed. Thomas helped me realizing that there was so much more to playing the game then to just win. I aspired to always do my best and enjoy the thrill of just playing the game.…

I know that he is probably no ones role model anymore, but he's still on of mine. I always admired him growing up before the scandal. The way he carries himself on the course even during a bad round was really cool to see. It was really tough to see a man I looked up to so much go through what he did, but it is astonishing how he could come back and still play on the tour. I am not condoning what he did, but it takes a lot to come back and go into the public eye again like he did. After the incident, it made me look up to him more in the sense that he persevered through the press and negativity and still continues to play golf on tour. He still has a long way to go, but it is great to see that he is persevering.…

He walked very slowly, and we didn’t know if he actually saw us or not, so when Jeremiah got close, we jetted away from behind the tree, and ran for our lives. As I looked behind, I saw Jeremiah getting closer and closer to me, but then he quickly changed directions, and yelled, ¨Khi, I´m coming for you!¨ I breathed heavily as I stopped to gain control of my breathing. I then spotted some cars in my driveway, so I quickly ran in between them, and lied down. As I layed there, I heard nothing but the heavy summer wind roaring over the cars. Then suddenly, I heard ¨Thump, thump, thump¨ behind me, and quickly looked behind me. ¨Oh it´s just you¨ I said to Marc as he came beside me and lied down. ¨Everybody can come out from their spots, I tagged Khi¨ shouted Jeremiah, then we hopped out from between the cars, shouting ¨Over here!¨ Jeremiah looked toward us, and said ¨I give up, I couldn't catch Khi¨, and we all walked back to the driveway to start another game. That night we played a few more rounds, and after that, we went back inside. When we were inside, we watched the Mayweather v. McGregor fight until 12:30am, and then I went back…

The last course was next. It was about 165 or more feet up and we got to zip line over the water. I volunteered to go first. This was the time where we showed off what we could do because a photographer was taking pictures of us and we could buy them. Once I let go it felt great. I let go of the metal and only hung one with on hand. Then I did those duck face lips where I pursed my lips together. We were all done. My worries were gone, now all that was left was, “Can we do this every…
