All the citizens of the kingdom knew that he wouldn’t know what he should do. If he doesn’t follow through with punishing Antigone, everyone in his kingdom will think there’s no consequences to any crime committed.
Antigone says to Creon, “The guards would agree with me, if you weren’t in charge of them.” She didn’t care what Creon thought. She wanted to let Creon know that she did what was right.
