Short Summas: The Bedtime Story
Back in the day, Jen worked as a saleslady at Macy's. She is a single mom with beautiful twin girls. Jen is twenty- four years old and her twins are five years old. She works six days out of the week, although she would prefer to be a stay at home mom. Jen works almost all day to provide for her daughters.
As Jen prepares for another day of work she says to herself, "Only if the girl's father wasn’t such a loser I could stay home with them." She sits at her vanity and takes out the curlers. The night before Jen took little strands of her blonde hair and wrapped it in the curlers. She takes them out and twirls each curl with her finger. Once she arrives home all she can hear is," Mommy, mommy your home!"
" My beautiful babies, how are you?"
They run quickly to hug and kiss their mother. Jen asks them, "Were y'all good to grandma?" The little girls nod their head and beg their mom for a bedtime story.
"Alright, girls it's time for bed."
" If you're in bed by the time I finish talking to grandma, I'll read a bedtime story.", Jen yells out. The girls go running as fast as they can. Jen, thanks her mom and walks her out.
Jen starts to walk to the girl's room and sees them both waiting patiently for her.
"I guess y'all beat me", she says.
She grabs their favorite book and begins to read. The girls fall asleep in no time. Jen kisses their forehead and turns off the light. She leans on the wall as she thinks to herself, "Coming home every night to two amazing little girls makes everything worth it."
She takes off her heels and takes a moment to relax. Then she realizes the girl's room is a mess with toys and paper everywhere,
" Oh no", she says.
She begins to slide to the floor as she finds and picks up the booklet where she keeps all the mail.
