Short Term Academic Goals

My short-term academic goals are doing exceptionally well for the Summer semester, continue improving on my time management skills and lastly, graduate this fall with my Associate’s degree from Valencia College. I am currently enrolled in five classes and so far, I am earning an A in all of them. I am taking state and local government, Astronomy, Earth science, Greek and Roman humanities and lastly, SLS-1303. I was laid off from my job last year and chose to make education my main priority. Although my short-term career goals are being unemployed due to the full-time student course loads, I continue to make sure that financially I can afford it, furthermore preparing myself for a successful future. While school is practically my career currently, I will make sure my time is managed efficiently for success. I get up early every morning just as someone who goes to work, I eat a healthy breakfast and complete my class assignments one at a time. When I get a little frustrated or overwhelmed, I'll take a break, get some fresh air, listen to some music and then continue on my schoolwork. During the Fall semester and after graduating from Valencia with my associates, I will apply for admissions at UCF and continue focusing on earning an A in my core classes. I have the determination to pursue my degree in approximately two years or less, and will network with as much criminal justice professors and students that are on the same academic path such as myself. If I am having any difficulties academically, I will find the proper tutoring and resources available. I choose to pursue my degree in a classroom setting if my scheduling and time permits and if not, I will continue taking online classes until I acquire the sixty required credits needed for
