Should all kids have a mobile phone?
Over the past few years, owning a mobile phone has become a necessity rather than just the possession of a luxurious gadget, as it used to be; due to the fact that people can contact anyone, at anytime, in anyplace. As a consequence, parents have provided their kids with mobile phones. The question is, should all kids have a mobile phone?
On the one hand, some people argue about the benefits that mobile phones may provide to children. Indeed, they consider that some kids are not mature enough to understand that the main use of them is for communication. According to many teachers, most of the kids are distracted from paying attention in class by mobile phones. Not to mention the fact that thieves might be tempted by these gadgets, in which case, they might end up hurting the child if they do not want to get rid of their belongings.
There are those who argue, on the other hand, that mobile phones allow kids to have access to a myriad of benefits. In the first place, one of the most obvious advantages is that kids can communicate with their parents or friends if they happen to be in trouble or just to let them know where they are and at what time they arrive home. Furthermore, they can have access to other ways of communication such as twitter, facebook, gmail, etc. Needless to say, these mobile phones might be an educational tool as the child can surf web pages looking for information which might be at no cost if they get a wi fi connection.
All things considered, it would seem that if parents try to make children aware of all the pros and cons of having mobile phones; kids would make good use of them.

For me, not giving a phone is the best solution.Having a phone opens up the opportunity for others to do bad things.…
