Virginia was the very first settlement in the thirteen Colonies which was chartered by the Virginia Company of London. The goal was to make money off the settlers who would go to the new land for economic opportunities, and search for gold and mineral. Wanting to reform the Church of England this religious group charted by the Massachusetts Bay Company left their country in search of land for religious freedom. Lastly, the colonies feeling like lower-class citizens to the British and bullied by parliament wanted to succeed Mother England for its own independence since it had already established its own government. After a 7-year war America with the help of France won the Revolutionary War for their Independence. America was destined to be an independence country for four reasons. Economics, Religious Freedom, Unfair Taxes, and the idea of Liberty were the four main factors for the American Revolution.
