Going back and forth to your locker can get really annoying just to get supplies. But, if students are able to take our backpacks to every class students would never have to worry about going to lockers until the end of the day. This issue is important because a student can get behind or not know what to do for needing to go to their locker, and they might even be late to class.Students taking their backpacks to classes can be easier on the students and teacher because teachers don't have to worry about writing so many passes, students can carry everything to the class and not go to their locker all the time, and there is a chance that students will not be late to their classes. A piece of evidence that supports this claim is ¨Because students may have as many as eight or nine classes throughout their school day, it does not make sense for them to keep returning to their lockers to search for the books for their upcoming classes¨(Dale 3).This is important because when you are a student and you have so many notebooks and can be heavy so you put them in your locker, but if you carry your backpack it can be way easier to carry everything you need. Another piece of evidence that this author states is ¨Having a backpack allows students to store materials for three or four classes at once, allowing them to stop by their lockers before school, at lunch or mid-day, and at the end of the day, keeping them productive and preventing them from wasting time¨(Dale 3). This evidence is important because if students do have to go to your locker it would not be after every period it would only be a couple a times a

I believe that high schools should have open lunches. Students should be able to leave the school grounds and go to a fast food restaurant, or, if they choose should at least be able to go outside and eat. Students need to have a small break from school during the day, even if they are outside, they still can take their minds off of school work for a while. Students need to have fresh air and adequate sunlight. Fresh air and sunlight is a proven fact to help students in their studies and it also helps the students concentrate more. I understand that the school staff would not like the fact that the students would be able to leave campus without supervision. Are not the students in high school? Should we not have the responsibility to be able…

In “A Good Man is Hard to Find” by Flannery O’ Connor tells a bunch of events that happened in order. For an example, the story basically focuses on a series of events that is about a family’s road trip towards the south. The mother’s attitude is a bit rude and selfish. She does not want to go to Florida, so she tries to get her son to cancel the trip. She claims that Florida is a crime zone by saying “I wouldn’t take my children in any direction with a criminal loose in it.” To me, that sounds like an excuse and she is trying to start an argument with her son about it.…

There is more than one side to the debate about cell phone availability during school. One claim is that students should be allowed to have their phones on them and use their cell phones during appropriate times. In the article, the authors provide details about how there are numerous reasons why cell phones should be allowed during school. Students should be allowed access to cell phones, because if they are responsible enough to be going off to college in a year or so, they should be responsible enough to have a cell phone on them and use it wisely (George and Cook). Another reason why cell phones should be allowed in school is because otherwise it can create a divide between the students and the teachers. Students are so invested in their phones, so if a teacher…

Have you ever had a teacher who is always oblivious and doesn't really pay attention to what students keep in their locker, even if it can cause a safety hazard? If you answered yes to this question, do you believe that a teacher or administrator should be allowed to search the locker of that student? Teachers and administrators should be allowed to search students’ lockers. Why they should be allowed to search the locker of a student is because of these three reasons: being able to search students’ lockers creates a safer learning environment for students and teachers alike, lockers are school property and don’t really belong to the student, and a student may also be hiding a weapon or drugs in their locker.…

One reason why I think the dress code should be changed is because we should be able to have our shirts untucked. We should be able to have our shirts untucked because all we are doing is sitting there in class. Sometimes I want to move around, but really can't because my shirt is tucked in. If your shirt was untucked, you'd be able to do a lot more things. When your shirt is tucked in you might get more frustrated because it is so tight, which leads to getting off task and not being able to learn anything that day. People who are overweight might especially feel uncomfortable and probably a little embarrassed. I know if I was really overweight, I wouldn't want to go to school if I had to tuck in my shirt. I also think that having your shirt tucked in kind of makes students look kind of geeky, considering you have it tucked in all day. Students should have the freedom to dress more comfortably.…

Should uniforms be mandatory for elementary and middle school? Some say uniforms doesn’t have to be just for private schools only. Uniforms have been around for a very long time for private schools only. Most uniforms started at elementary and middle schools. Back then, uniforms were not as popular as they are today because of how much dressing could take part in students. In the past three years, wearing uniforms became a policy for more schools. Uniforms should be permitted for all elementary and middle schools because they make schools safer, increase bullying and encourage students to stay focus.…
