should children wear uniform in school

Uniforms ugh this is by a TEN YEAR OLD. Uniforms, you can get teased by it getting dirty or by the way you were it you can be a bully target with uniforms. What is the point of uniforms? They don't help anyone, okay? it saddens me to hear that kids have to wear uniforms. They are colorless and just plain boring. Some uniforms show too much skin and nobody can express themselves with uniforms. Many schools, at this this time, require their students to wear a standard uniform. Schools claim that uniforms make every student equal. But, what schools aren’t taking in to consideration is the large amount of students who want to be looked at as an individual. Wearing clothes that fit their style and personality can do just that. Wearing a uniform 5 days a week in Florida is gruesome, and many families can’t afford uniforms.
First of all, everyone is different, from the color of our skin to how we act, to what we like, we aren’t the same, so why do schools treat us the same? Uniforms make us equal and we want to be equal, but not look the same, we want to be individual. Everyone has their own style, that unique look that not many people can replicate. Many students find their clothing and accessories are a way to express their style and personality. Especially when you are younger you want everyone to know who you are and what you are all about. When everyone is wearing the same thing you can’t tell anything about one individual.
Next, wearing uniforms can also hurt one’s self-image. Almost all uniforms aren’t made with all body types in mind. But, they are chosen for all students to wear. Even though each student looks and is built differently. Everyone knows what kind of things look good on their body, and obviously, they would own those things and wear them so that they don’t look bad. If you were something for example that you feel confident wearing, you have a good self-image, if not yourself image may be bad.
Also, many people can’t afford a uniform, and its mandatory, and only the school sells the certain uniform with the logo of the school. When instead of that you could go to Wal-Mart, target or anywhere else and get 2-3 shirts for the same price, thus saving money.
Kids should not have to wear school uniforms because it does not let them express themselves. Also, if there is a poor family that can't pay for the uniform the child will be bullied. As well as being bullied children will all look the same. I personally think it is very bad to have school uniforms, especially in public schools where children go just to get an education, not to be proper. You can't say who you are, if you dress like everyone else. We need to let our unique self out. With uniforms everyone is the same. We need to be allowed to wear what we want with limits. We will dress responsibly, we just need to be given the chance.
As for me uniforms should be forbidden at school because it's a waste of parents money. Freedom of teenagers is primordial, they need liberty to take advantage of their youth and wearing clothing can describe a person. It allows to make economies. Uniforms shouldn't be obligatory for student. So, I don't like that.
