Should Citizens Support the Appearance of the GMF

Once the GMF appear in every single supermarket, do you know what exactly you are going to eat? GMF means genetically modified foods. The genetically modified foods are initially born in U.S. in 1983. About thirty years before, people use the original seeds or sprouts to grow their fruits and vegetables. However, as the well development of the genetically modified foods, the natural foods are gradually replaced in nowadays society. And as the genetically modified foods starts gain its popularity in the market, and increasing number of people starts to query the safety of the genetically modified foods. Some opinions said that the genetically modified foods are just the development of the natural foods which forced by human beings. They may looks fancy than their original but they are still what they are. But some think that they lose their initial nutrition after they are transferred to genetically modified foods. So, it must be a question that whether the citizens should support the appearances of the genetically modified foods in nowadays society. The first thing you may concern is that whether the genetically modified foods are safety. Walking through the super market or any other markets around you, you can see many nutritious foods are all over your eye sight. There are cherries, oranges, watermelons, lemons, corns, lettuces cabbages and many other foods. In these fresh fruits, the parts of them are special and normal in front of the eye sights. We never notice their existence and they are the genetically modified foods. Most people have started eating them without noticed those kinds. “Today, 91% of soy produced in the United States is genetically modified, as is 85% of corn and 88% of cottonseed, to name a few examples” (As NATURE Made Them para. 2).
