“Student athlete. Student comes first”. The question everyone asks is should college athletes be paid? There are many differences in a college athlete and a professional athlete. The thing about paying college athletes is they would just spend all their money on things that they do not need. College athletes should not be paid because they are still student athletes, being paid would take the intensity out of the game, they would not be focused on their grades, and the money could corrupt the game, despite the fact that many expect to be paid because they are going to go pro.
