They put a huge burden on society and can cause problem to the other children. Not only that, they also provide issues such as lack of resources for the other children. The inability to provide materials for their students is an issue that many schools nationwide face. Funding for the schools is an essential issue, and much of the money the schools gets comes from taxes on the local property. (Chia, Lianne) “We have only 20 SPED schools, and hundreds of mainstream schools, so the ability to rotate these teachers and attract teachers to come over becomes important.” (Chia, Lianne) It is a known fact that each year, there is an increasing amount of children entering schools, be it Primary, Secondary or Tertiary Education schools, and with the increasing amount of children entering as such and having that many schools to supply, having education for the disabled will only make it slower. This is due to more care in preparing materials and providing materials for the disabled. For example, a report by the Australian Education Union has found that eight out of ten principals do not have the resources they need to educate growing numbers of students with a disability. The survey was conducted on public schools.
