Should everybody learn a foreign language?

Nowadays, many people learn a foreign language and it is a trend to learn a foreign language. However, when it comes to should everybody learn a foreign language, many people have divergent views, some people think that learn a foreign language is useful, it can help our life and work. Some people claimed that learn a foreign language is not useful for everybody. This essay will discuss should everybody learn a foreign language.

First of all, some people claimed that it is not useful for everybody to learn a foreign language. For example, some elderly people only live in their countries and they never go to other countries. Therefore, learn a foreign language is not useful for them. Also, some people’s job don’t need to use other language for communication such as farmer and fisherman, they can only use their language. Therefore, some people think that it is not useful for everybody to learn a foreign language.

However, many people reckon that a foreign language can help everybody to broaden their horizons. When we go to travel or trip, we can know more about other countries if we know their language. For instance, when we go to France or England, if we know how to speak French or English, we can know more their histories and cultures. Therefore, learn a foreign language can broaden our horizons.

Moreover, learn a foreign language can help our work. For example, English is an international language, so it is useful for work especially the job about business, many meeting need to talk with another countries’ client. Therefore, learn a foreign language can help our job. It can help us to have an opportunity for promotion.

Furthermore, learn a foreign language can help our safe. Sometimes, we will go to travel and go to other countries, but it is not all the people know our language. Therefore, if we can learn a foreign language, we can seek help with others. For example, if we get lost or have a danger, we can
