Should Immigration Be Illegal Essay
Immigration is a topic being talked about everywhere you look. It’s one of the biggest problems being talked about in the election right now. People have many different opinions on. There are many theories on how to solve it. They range from, deporting all illegal immigrants, to providing illegal immigrants a path to citizenship. There are many pros and cons to immigration, but I believe it should be fixed a fair and certain way. There are a few ways that immigration can benefit us. One way is that it will help us get more things done. If immigrants come in, they might fill the jobs that Americans don’t want, and that can help us get more done. It has also been said that more immigrants means increased wages. It has been proven that “immigrants are nearly …show more content…
We need to deport immigrants who are here illegally, but give them a chance to re-enter the legal way. I believe that they need to learn to enter legally, so that’s why I think we should still allow them to do that. As for work visas, I believe that we only give them to the type of people we need. My plan to do all this is very simple.
To handle the issue of illegal immigrants, we should first deport them immediately. They should be informed that they will be allowed to come back in, through the legal process. We don’t need to do mass deportations; we should just do a little at a time. That will teach people to follow our laws and that if they want to come in, they have to do it legally.
The issue of work visas I also believe is very simple. We should permit work visas to the people we need in certain job fields. Say that if we need a certain type of doctor, then we should find someone with that degree. If we fill up the jobs we need, then I believe we should start letting in a small number of immigrants who have clean backgrounds and want a better life. I think that they should be put through a test to find out how they really feel on certain

Immigration to the US should be legal firstly just based on the fact that the roots of this country are tied to large immigration flows of individuals from a variety of areas throughout the world. Next, immigration should be legalized because despite the argument that these individuals are taking over American jobs, they are actually not affecting unemployment rates at all. American companies benefit from being able to pay low wages and send more money to its investors or stockholders. If they did not have the opportunity to offer these positions to immigrants then surely they would spending their budgets on machines that would replace their work. Another reason to consider legalizing immigration in the United States is to gain a sense of cultural competence. When a country is exposed to such a large variety of cultural differences among its inhabitants then they are more likely to appreciate those of another background and begin to build a sense of unity or community between each other. Finally, immigration should be granted to illegal aliens because it will lower the welfare rates that are currently catastrophic within the Unites states. The idea that a nation can positively flourish and grow economically should be the goal of every country but…

I agree that having a diverse group of worker brings many benefits. Immigrant works help both the economy they are working in and the economy they come from. The immigrants will work for less which helps companies spend money on improvement for their companies. The workers then send some of the money they make back to their family in their home country which helps stimulate that economy.…

Many immigrants are already apart of the American Community and have been for so many years. We can’t really do anything about thos immigrants who are already in America and have been for a decade. During their time here, “many have started families, and have children who are granted automatic citizenship as a result of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S Constitution” (Griswald 1.) It would be cruel to deport those children’s parents, their families would be ripped apart and the children would have to fend for themselves. Americans are worried about the threats and crimes, but not by the ones whom are already living in America, but more from those who are still trying to cross the border.…

As more and more Americans head to college and aspire to get high paying white collar jobs we are experiencing a massive scarcity of blue collar workers. Everyone is chasing a college education; hence we have no one to the low paying, back breaking jobs. Illegal immigrants provide the backbone for the American labor force. If we are to deport them, it would create a huge shortage of laborers causing the economy to come to a standstill. America has been a nation that has been built by immigrants and we need to stay true to our tradition of welcoming immigrants and providing them with a fair chance to chase the American dream. Immigrants come to United States and work extremely hard to provide for their families and repay them by threatening them of deportation and paying them wages well below the minimum wage.…

I believe that illegal immigrants should not be allowed to stay in our country. By making this statement, I am not saying that I am against immigration in any way. I am happy to welcome immigrants into our country, as long as they just live under our laws like the rest of us. If they come here legally, we would be able to do background checks on them before letting them into our country so there is less of a chance of crime being committed by immigrants. I think that if immigrants want to live in our country, they should find a job and use that money to find a place to live. However, immigrants should not just use our government’s money for their possessions because when they continuously abuse the welfare system, American taxes increase at tremendous rates each year to pay for them.…

Immigrants who are in the United States deserve to stay here. The government should not be hasty about kicking them out and help them stay in America if the reach a certain requirement. The process would include for immigrants to have a background check, paying taxes, paying a penalty, learning english, and they would have to wait just like other people who want to come into america have to wait. Their shouldn’t be a fight about who is and who isn't allowed to come into the U.S. anymore, anyone should be able to America and feel safe. Deportation needs to end, their shouldn’t be a right or wrong on what race you are if it’s hispanic or muslim, there shouldn’t be argument in this. Immigration is not a bad thing for America either, the economy rises and it adds jobs, over 9 million jobs were made just by immigration. Immigrants already pay taxes and most immigrants are law abiding, America should let those who have lived here remain here, as Bernie Sanders said “It is time to end the discussion of mass deportation. We cannot and we should not even be talking about sweeping up millions of men, women, and children, many of whom have been here for years, and throwing them away.” (Sanders). In today’s society more people would rather have people who have immigrated into America turn into citizens than get deported, it would be…

Illegal Immigration has been a rising controversial problem among policy makers. There are 11 million immigrants that currently reside in the United States. They immigrated to this nation to seek a new life, a job, and a brighter future, but obtaining a citizenship won’t be on the same level as immigrating here. One wrong step would lead them to deportation. I believe that illegal immigrants should be given a chance to become U.S. citizens. This is due to several reasons: (1) Families that have been previously separated by deportation can reunite. (2) Illegal Immigrants contribute to the economy. (3) Immigration is a human right. These reasons proves that illegal immigrants should be given a second chance.…

Immigration has been around since the start of this country, but in today’s society immigration has become a problem. The problem is illegal immigration. Illegal immigration is when a person from a foreign country comes to a country that is not their own without any documentation and stays for free illegally. The United States is a key player in immigration, because of their clout in the world wide economy. The United States should stop illegal immigration because housing illegal immigrants raises taxes, brings more crime and brings more disease.…

Government should pass a law to make it easier for “undocumented” immigrants to legally live and work in the United States. Because they came to United States for their better future. And illegal immigrants are good for US economy because they are out of income taxes. People those are here for all opportunity. It’s called land of opportunity. Because the human right is 100% protected here. So the people sacrifice their life for here to get opportunity. But it’s the obligation is that here is no exception without work. Legal or illegal everybody have to work for bread.…

This option is widely supported by conservative Americans who believe that immigration creates a burden for American citizens since more people in the country means that spending on education and health care increases. Furthermore, it is argued that many immigrants, especially poor refugees come to the US and are unable to maintain a decent quality of life without receiving aid from the government such as food stamps or welfare. Also, Immigrants can be keeping wages low because they are more willing to work for low wages than American citizens. This especially effects Americans without a high school or college degree who can only work in low-wage, low-talent jobs who struggle because the low-paying jobs are mostly taken up by Immigrants. The amount of immigrants that come into the country can be reduced by placing more border patrol agents at the border, this would provide more jobs for Americans in seek of work. Also, we would need to physically strengthen our southern border, this could also be a source of jobs for Americans. We would also need to deport the more than 11 million Illegal Immigrants that currently reside in the US, deny illegal immigrants social services and health care, except for emergencies, reduce the amount of visas authorized every year and change asylum laws so that immigrants have to apply for asylum in their home country before coming to the US. All of these steps would help to reduce the…

Immigration has been an ongoing issue that has affected many people in the United States today, many immigrants have doubled since the 1960s because of the economic stability in their country. Even though immigration from Mexico has decreased over time there is still a majority of other immigrants in the U.S. The immigration system is broken and needs to be addressed and called for attention because they supercharge the economic benefits in America. An immigration reform that comprehensively addresses these problems like providing a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants living and working in the U.S. A common-sense reform would restore faith and still bring hope to immigrants; this will change America…

Today our nation is faced with many problems and one that seems to stand out is an immigration reform. Many of those who reside in the U.S may not see it as a big issue, but in reality it really is. An immigration reform would not only help our nation’s struggling economy but it will also allow our government to keep better track of its residents given us a sense of higher security. Those who oppose such reform fear it will only serve to decrease job opportunities due to the increase in completion for places and ultimately burry us deeper in this troubling economy but with an immigration reform, there would be a stop to the separation of families, a boost to the economy and nation’s security will also have its benefits.…
