Do you think kids should get paid to do chores?
I say No, I don’t think we should get paid to help around the house, our parents do so much for us, why do they have to pays us to? They give us food, clothes, and a roof over our heads and we don’t have to pay rent or anything. Plus they don’t get money when they make us food or do the dishes, so why should we? I have lots of experience with chores and honestly they are not that bad. We shouldn’t get paid for chores because they are a part of family life and we all need to pitch in or it will never get done, plus it keeps your home clean and organized. Doing chores teaches you about responsibility. Sometimes we have to do
stuff not for a reward, but simply because we have to. So should kids get paid to do chores? I could see the other side too, you want to get paid for the hard work you did. Chores are work and our parents get paid to work, so shouldn’t we? Your parents make money to provide for the family and I wouldn’t take that for granted. According to professor Marty Rossman from the university of minnesota , Adults who did chores as kids are more likely to have good relationships with their families and become successful.
