Should Laptops Be Allowed In Schools Research Paper
In today's age of Students will no longer need to carry textbooks to class. Due to technology students can now carry a laptop with them to class that has every book they need for class. Gone are the days of carrying four to six books to class.
Hauling heavy backpacks and textbooks home and to class can be a very exhausting task. In fact it is known to cause stress on the back giving back pain to students and potentially causing long-term health issues The average backpack weighs about twenty-five pound and usually consists of textbooks, binders, pencil, pens, and paper. While a laptop cuts that weight by seventy-five percent. Averaging around three to eight pounds. Personally I’d rather carry a three pound laptop than a twenty-five pound backpack or four textbooks.
Carrying a laptop around that contains all of your textbooks in one place is way easier and more convenient than hauling a heavy backpack around. It would help students stay more organized. Instead of having multiple places to put things where things could easily get lost. People would have one place to put all of their things making it harder to lose important papers. While it's true that laptops are pricy ranging anywhere from $200-$800. They would be easily cheaper for the school. Instead of having to a book for each individual student, they could purchase the textbook online allowing any student that would need that book to download it onto their laptop. This drastically drop the price schools would need to spend on textbooks. While it's true that would cost tons of money to put into effect but down the road schools would save loads more because laptops can be reused by other and they buy a textbook
