Should Men and Women have equal rights
Should men and women have equal rights? Koffi Annan once said, “Gender equality is more than a goal in itself. It is a precondition for meeting the challenge of reducing poverty, promoting sustainable development and building good governance.” Men and women should have equal rights because we are both needed to ensure survival of the human race, there is no science that proves one gender is more superior to the other, and there are no laws that state men and women should not be equal. Men and women should have equal rights because we are both needed to ensure the survival of the human race. Without a man, a woman cannot get pregnant and without a woman a man cannot plant his seed. If men and women were to stop having sex, the human race would be in danger. Without reproduction, the balance would be thrown off. Men and women should have equal rights because there is no science that proves one gender is more superior to the other. Society views man as the superior race because they are sometimes stronger than a woman. A woman can be just as strong as a man if not stronger. This is not saying women are better than men but it shows we can do most things they can do. Men and women should have equal rights because there are no laws to prove one gender is better than the other. Back when the laws were being made, women were not seen as equal to men. But, the times have changed and laws have been revised to incorporate women rights. If the law does not say one gender is more superior to the other, than why shouldn’t we have equal rights? In conclusion, men and women should have equal rights. We live in a world where some women make money than a men and that is not wrong. There are men who have jobs that people would consider “feminine” but that does not matter. Remember there are no laws that say women and men should not be equal, there is no science to prove men and women are not equal, and men and women need each other to ensure the survival of the human race.

Since the beginning of the 20th century when the international community came up with the law guiding human rights, various nations have also enacted specific bills to provide equal rights to their citizens. However, there are certain aspects which are common to all human rights across the globe. That is; they are inalienable, indivisible and inherent in every human being. Unfortunately, the well pronounced human rights as they may be understood have not guaranteed women in many countries equal rights to that of their men…

Women are equal to men. Doesn't it balance out? Unfortunately in society, they aren't treated that way. One example of this is in the play 'Taming of the Shrew' as it displays women as the lesser sex, with male lead Petruchio placing a bet on his ability to 'tame' Katherine, a mean bat, but also his future wife.…

“ We came equals into this world, and equals shall we go out.” Based on the Constitution, it is possible for individuals in society to achieve equality because the First, Nineteenth, Third and Thirteenth Amendments give citizens of the United States freedoms that were not originally given in the Constitution. Most of the Amendments give reasons for equality in the U.S. For Example, the First Amendment gives freedom of speech, religion, press, and the right to assemble and petition. The Constitution gives equality in the United States because they give citizens freedoms that were not originally given in the Constitution. On the other hand, people may think that the Constitution does not give equality because some of the Amendments do not sound like they give for equality, but in a way they do. The Constitution does give for equality and freedom in the United States because of the Amendments today.…

These are my own thoughts on this contentious topic: a woman should not get as much pay anyway. I mean, why do they deserve this? I have seen women make great mothers, wives and housekeepers without having to step a foot outside of their houses. I have seen smart, intelligent women do what they are told by their husbands what to do and they do so without an argument. Nowadays it all seems to boil down to being superior to the male however this must come to a stop. The more women’s rights there are, the fewer men’s rights there will…

For many many years women and men equality have been a problem. Only because women do not get the same respect or qualities as men normally do. Equality of men and women is extremely important even in American society in recent times. It is the reason that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his life to make sure that African-Americans would have the very same rights as any other American citizen. “We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men and women are created equal” (Declaration of Sentiments, Women’s Rights Convention, Seneca Falls, NY, 1848). To me, self-evident means that it should be understood that because God created each human being, each human being should be allowed to have the same opportunities. However, without the same unalienable rights, American citizens are not truly…

I think that even though we haven’t reached perfection in regards of rights between women and men being equal, we have come a very long way. What was before thought of as crazy and was openly ridicule, is now allowing millions of woman to have the right to vote. Women wanting the right to vote is what started the movement in the 1800’s, and the fact that we have achieved it today should mean a lot to how far we have come. Moreover, I think woman and men equality is going along very well but there is one more major change that needs to be made. I wish that it was illegal for woman and men to have different pay when they are in the same job position. I believe that allowing this to happen goes against all that women have fought for and that this…

All men are created equal; this includes women as well. Over a decade of years, women certainly have come a long way to gain the same kind of equal equality as men, such as being able to vote and being able to join the armed forces and fight alongside men. As growing up I was always told that playing dolls is a girl’s toy and playing a car is a boy’s toy. In my cultural, I was taught that girl couldn’t work in a male job, and I was taught to do housework while the men did nothing around the house. In my house/culture, the men are the provider while the women in my opinion are the servant in which caters to every male in the household. If people were to think about combat in the army many just picture a male behind the military ACU (advanced…

Well great news, because with equal rights you can make your dreams come true. Of course you would still have to work for it, but it shouldn’t be that hard since that’s what you want to do with your life. Your little kid has a barbie and she pretends to play as somebody she wants to be (like a teacher); with equal rights in a couple of years she could become a real teacher. Anyway let’s say that you get hurt with equal rights, you can free go to any hospital and be able to trust that the doctors well give you the medical treatment that you need. You could also go somewhere, say the capitol building and you’d be able to speak your mind and trust that the system will be fair with you, so to speak. So there’s imagination and trust involved with equal rights, now what about the logic behind equal rights? Equal rights are indeed known for protecting what people’s beliefs are no matter what they look like. Another fact about equal rights is that it helped a lot for women, after all, they now can have the exact same jobs that men…
