Should Minimum Wage Be Increased?

Samantha and John have a family of 2 children. John works for minimum wage as a pizza delivery. Samantha works at Mcdonalds, she is the cashier. All the money that they makes goes for the 2 children that they have and the house bills and the clothes that they buy. They would like to go out and have some fun but they are unable to. Minimum wage is not making a good amount of money.President Obama is trying to raise minimum wage from 7.25 to 10.10. Lots of people want to increase the amount of minimum wage because they are not happy with the amount that they are being paid. Raising the minimum wage would hurt our country because of unemployment rate would increase and the prices of products will increase. According to Patrica Smith,” increaseing the minimum wage workers would have less work hours and we would have to hire less workers. Also it would increase fast food prices all over the world.
According to Patrica Smith,” officals say so high a wage would sharply increase fast food prices and reduce unemployment.” If we do raise the payment of minimum wage, business will have a harder time paying all the people that work for them. Patrica Smith says,”if we do raise the minimum wage we would have to hire less workers and the number of hours they work would be reduced. If we increase minimum wage its going to increase all the prices of products and people will have to lose their jobs because of it. If we raise minimum wage all of the workers would have all their work hours reduced and would cause less payment because of it.
