We firmly believe that registered nurses should be allowed to take on board some more of the responsibilities that can currently only be provided by doctors. By doing so the health care system will improve tremendously in a variety of ways. Presently, registered nurses are not permitted to prescribe medication, diagnose patients with common illnesses or make life saving decision in relation to the health of their penitents, which hinders the provision of health care services. Registered nurses are readily available and is in frequent contact with patient. whereas, doctors are hardly around to perform their duties that are crucial in the recovery of many ill patients. If such responsibilities are handed to registered nurses under protocol much of the bigger problems will be solved will be solved in a quicker manner. The nurses will be working hand in hand with the doctors to lessen the burden of both parties while helping the health care system.
