Should Students Get Paid For Good Grades Essay
Several schools in the U.S have started programs that pay their students for good grades. So the question is, should all students be paid for making good grades? Many students would most likely agree with this topic, and me being a student I would definitely agree. The reason I believe students should get paid is because we work hard to earn and maintain grades. Students should get paid for making good grades because school is a job, it motivates them to do better in school, and it builds a thirst for knowledge within the student. School is a job, and students should be paid for their hard work, and rewarded for their achievements. Students set routines for themselves similar to people with jobs. They wake up every morning and prepare themselves with the necessary materials to begin the day. Our work place is the same as others because we have coworkers, bosses, and we have assignments to complete. Then, when we do extremely well on a project, we are rewarded with extra points kind of like a bonus.
Paying students motivates them to do better in studies, to achieve more in their education, and to have a thirst for knowledge. I have actually been paid by my parents and godparents as an incentive to pull up a couple of B’s to A’s because I was doing enough to get by, instead of

Students would view school as an easy way to get money than to receive an education. Although, I do not believe this is true because studies show that even after students stopped getting paid they viewed school the same but, still had the same goals when they were getting paid. Furthermore, most schools cannot afford to participate in this program because of low funding. So if the majority of schools in the U.S cannot fund this program to pay students for good grades and high-test scores then none of them

Texas universities like Texas State are recognized through their sport rankings and their star athletes’ performance on the field. The role athletes play in the production of profit from merchandise, ticket sales, and advertising has created the question: Should athletes get paid? Based out of “Student athletes deserve payment in multimillion-dollar industry”, published in the University Star, as the main text describes the reasons why athletes should be paid. The editorial staff argues about the profit the NCAA makes, how athletic scholarships work, and how some athletes come from low income families with the hopes of building better lives for themselves and their families. Readers can use “Student athletes deserve a piece of the pie, too”…

College athletes should be paid in order to: help them financially accommodate their expensive lifestyles, give them the money they played hard to earn, and to eliminate unethical recruiting and under the table payments. Considering how hard it is to support yourself while playing sports in college, the millions of dollars universities and the NCAA makes off of you and your teammates, and the unfair advantages in recruiting that some colleges deploy, paying student athletes should be heavily considered by everyone that calls themselves a sports…

Maybe college athletes should get paid because they half to work really hard to get on the college teams and leagues. The players play sports a lot as kids too get into college basketball, football, lacrosse, and college soccer. College players spend a lot of time practising and planning for all of their games and they even show more hustle than the players from the NBA. This already proves that they could and should get paid. As much as we all love watching sports we also love how the different skills are like College to the NBA.But that’s not all we like, some of us even like the college players more than the NBA players but it’s not like we’re talking about the very skilled ones like Stephen Curry, Lebron James, and Chris Andersen.…

Imagine spending hours and hours a week working as hard as you can at a very hard task and getting almost nothing in return. This is what college athletes go through when they voluntarily play for their school. More of their time is spent on their sport per week than on education. Some of the college sports require very hard mental and physical work that could possibly result in a future career. Also collegiate sport organizations have millions to even billions of dollars that could be spared for the players that help keep it going. This is why I think college athletes should receive compensation for their skills. It would help the players continue on in life if they don't proceed of career in being a professional athlete and they work too hard to not get paid.…

Imagine this: you are in the military force, you risk your life on a day-to-day basis for our country's freedom. If you survive fighting, you sleep on an uncomfortable, rock hard bed and eat nauseating food. You work your tail off, yet you actually make less than the average American does yearly. Now, take into perspective, perhaps a professional boxer: they may risk their lives, but it's for our entertainment, not for our safety. When they are done wrestling, they go back to their five star hotels and eat gourmet food. They train, and yes, they may have worked hard to get to where they are, but they're out here making millions per fight, which is way more than what the average American makes. Look closer, should an entertainer really get paid such a profound amount for one fight, rather than those who work to…

It's just a very bad idea in general. We would be giving people money for what they won't be doing to prepare for their future. Paying them could also risk the possibilities of finishing college and getting their degree. “Athletes who take to a classroom naturally or are encouraged to focus on grades should be able to do well in the classroom. I believe the reason you go to college is to get your degree. It’s not a minor league or an audition for the pros.” (Lobo). When you go to college, college is supposed to prepare you for the future like jobs and how to financially help you, Not pay you!…

Teachers are trusted with one of the most important jobs in America. Parents send their children to school so that they can receive a proper education and decide what they want to be in the future. Many teachers go above and beyond to help their students with school work, but there are some teachers who are there just to receive a check. These teachers should be eliminated from the school system by allowing students to evaluate them. Students should be allowed to grade their teachers because their teaching methods should be effective, because their attitudes affect students, and because the amount of time spent teaching is important.…
