Should Students Have To Pass a Test to Graduate?
Should Students Have To Pass A Test To Graduate?

About 25% of student can’t pass the final test, because they only missed a few problems and the points didn’t add up or they just didn’t study for the final test. The final test shows how much you’ve learned since you were in school, or was everything you ever worked on a waste of time. You shouldn't let a test ruin your future. Some student get angry or stressed out because they find out they didn’t pass the final test. Some students don’t go through all that because they know that they can retake that test once more. The students that didn’t pass the test might have a hard time finding a good paying job and or there might not be a lot of job opportunities to choose from in the future. Most jobs do ask to see a diploma to see who they are hiring. As a matter of fact students may think that by them not passing that that’s a huge fall back in life, having them do another year of high school. Students that couldn’t pass the test will have a hard time making money than everyone who passed it and life for them will be harder to manage. A lot of stress can be added to a student’s life. It’s not fair for a student who’s been doing really great since the beginning passing all their regular tests but not the last major one. In addition of them not passing a test can make them have negative thoughts and make them give up, but not all students that don’t pass, cause some have faith in them self’s. It also makes student do it over again and study harder this time and pay more attention. I say no to this final test because it’s not fair to the student’s who have straight A’s but fail the final test and don’t get to walk the stage with the rest of their classmates. The students that didn’t graduate have to find another way to earn their diploma, either it’s from high school or college. How would you feel if you can’t touch your diploma? Most students couldn’t pass the final test so they couldn’t walk

Up until the year 2006 California high school students could graduate from high school without being required to pass the CAHSEE. The high school students who graduated before 2006 were able to graduate without demonstrating to California that they had obtained the necessary skills to graduate. Based on the CAHSEE results California public high schools can evaluate whether students have enough math and English skills to graduate from high school. Since 2006 many students have given many reasons to why passing the CAHSEE shouldn’t be a requirement for them to graduate, but there are also many reasons to why passing the CAHSEE should remain a requirement. All high school students should be required to pass the CAHSEE to get a diploma because the CAHSEE tests basic skills, helps schools find problem areas, and shows that the student earned the diploma.…

Nebraska should not require its high school students to take an exit exam to graduate from high school. Even though exit exams make students work harder because they know this test is important and schools can identify student’s weaknesses early we should not have exit exams because it does not increase academic performance or increase students wages in states that do have them. Exit exams do not promote the skills, knowledge and habits needed for success in college or the real world. According to employers and college professors, high school graduates must be able to support arguments with evidence, analyze problems, and solve problems that have no obvious answer, conduct research, reach conclusions, and brainstorm ideas. Also skills needed are good study skills, time management and being aware of your performance.…

This can be a good thing and this can also be a bad thing, like stated previously some students are naturally good test takers, where some have a hard time passing standardize test not being they are not bright or may not know the material but could possibly because of a disorder or just not being able to control their anxiety while taking a test. So due to certain students circumstances this one test should not be based whether or not they graduate and go to college. This could be very discoursing to student that wants the opportunity to go to college and wants to become successful in the future, but is hindered by this one test. Where on the other hand this test can be helpful to the state to have a better visualization on what the students are being…

Statistical averages of students achievements isn’t the only educational excellence in a school. No matter where the student comes from, whether it involves family backgrounds or other characteristics, they should have fun learning and being able to have a sense of accomplishment in their work. There’s no point in sending an unprepared student to fail further in their future grade. It wouldn’t make sense because the student would only be permitted to the following grade to fail yet again. According to the Editorial Projects in Education (EPE) Research Center, 3 out of 10 students in America’s public school fail to finish high school with a diploma. That counts up to 1.3 million students failing every year.…
