The Police Chief’s Magazine states that, “The law enforcement profession has always been a tough business, over the course of a career an officer will see the beast and the absolute worst of people”, that is a police officer’s day. The police do their job to protect people, they shouldn’t be hated for protecting the innocent. Most police officers just want to help people, even the people who hate the police, because police officers can’t pick and choose who they protect and don’t protect. Why people hate the police is just confusing to police all over the world. It’s very rare to see a story on the news about a police officer doing something good, most of the time it is a police officer involved in a shooting. The media paints the police as a bunch of racist people who abuse their power, which is not true. The only other time you see a police involved story on the news is often the worst kind of news, a new officer is added to a memorial wall, and is put in a grave for doing his job.
