Should Vo Tech Be Allowed In School

Vo-tech is a great option for highschool students because it creates a smooth transition into college. One way vo-tech creates a smooth transition into college by teaching students hands on skills. When students are in nursing school they will need many skills to prepare them for the workforce. In vo-tech it gives students a head start into the college levels skills students will learn once more inside of college. Another reason why vo-tech is a good option is when your ready for nursing school there are many new medical terms that students will need to know also know as medical terminology. Medical terminology is a very complex series of words that indicate the proper way to determine what is wrong with your body. In vo-tech students would receive a med-term book that will show list all the college terms you will also need in your future.
The last reason why vo-tech is a good option is to learn about all the rules and violations students will need to follow.
Everything inside of the medical field is confidential and it is all cover by one law called HIPAA also know as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. The Act was developed by Congress to protect the confidentiality of a person's medical information. It sets boundaries on the use and release of health records, and establishes safeguards to protect the privacy of health information. Vo-tech is very big on stressing this law in class because it is a huge thing to make sure that students fully understand. Students will take a HIPAA test inside of tech to get your HIPAA certification.
