When she says “blinded” this could referring to how she feels a sense of neglect of how blind society are, and they don’t acknowledge her emotions and how she feels, she wants someone to save her and help her through her depressive state. Her message could be implying to not turn a blind eye on people, and how ignorant that the society we live in today is as we do very little to help people. The poem “Twice” again can link into this when she says “the corn goes brown”, this could show us how people may only actually recognize or acknowledge your existence when you die as “brown” could be representative of a decaying imagery, it also could express how when she is at the end point and completely ruined, people only seem to realise how she feels isolated and depressed which is why she is “Shut Out”. “Brown” could also be representative of how she is disgusted in how society’s actions are towards helping
